One year on - how we have managed to help ukraine.
It has been one year since I pushed off Gran Canaria in a six-metre rowing boat to raise money for my UKROPS medical charity. 96 days later I made a landfall in Barbados a different man. I dedicated my victory over myself to Ukrainian medics and the very fact that I did that for them was just as important as the £60,000 that I have managed to raise for my charity. This is a short update about how we have managed to help Ukrainian medics with the money raised. Please continue supporting them - every penny raised goes directly to the people who need it the most. We in UKROPS know the people that we help personally as well as the situation on the ground that they have to constantly adapt to. Thank you!
Atlantic Row - One month to go!
Training in the Solent has been both challenging and rewarding. Navigating tides, wind, and ferry traffic, I've learned to adapt and grow with each outing. These experiences are invaluable as I prepare for my solo Atlantic row. Discover more about my journey and the lessons learned on the water.
Behind the Scenes of Leo’s Row
My solo transatlantic row journey begins with comprehensive preparation. Under Lia Ditton's expert guidance, I'm mastering celestial navigation and night rowing skills, while enduring rigorous gym training. Every step of this journey is about transformation and survival at sea, as I gear up to realise my dream of rowing solo.
Rowing the Atlantic solo is a daunting task
Embarking on a solo row across the Atlantic in January 2025, I'm setting out on a journey that tests both body and spirit. It's not just a personal challenge; it's also a mission to support Ukrainian medics. This is more than a row; it's a journey of resilience and solidarity.
